Yellow cards were assessed to Borussia Dortmund’s Ramy Bensebaini and Yan Couto—who had entered in the 87th minute—and Fluminense’s Martinelli and Nonato.

Dortmund subbed in Jobe Bellingham, younger brother of English national team star Jude Bellingham, in the 59th minute for his club debut. They did not play U.S. national team forward Gio Reyna.

Each squad collected one point for the draw. Fluminense next plays Saturday evening against South Korea’s Ulsan Hyundai at the same site, MetLife Stadium. Dortmund faces South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday afternoon in Cincinnati.
