Taylor Fritz played three days in a row at Wimbledon after his first-round match against Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard was suspended on Monday night ahead of the impending curfew.
He returned to win the fifth set on Tuesday. Then, last night, he beat Gabriel Diallo in five sets at around 10.20pm.
The No. 5 seed finally has a day off today and he’s looking forward to sleeping in. But he can’t prepare for his next match just yet as he plays the winner of a clash between ALejandro Davidovich Fokina and Botic van de Zandschulp which was suspended on Wednesday night and will continue today.
Fritz said: “I mean, I think it will be a light practice, for sure. I’m going to sleep in late, have a practice around, I don’t know, like 2 or 3. Probably won’t hit more than 30 minutes, I think.
“Hitting-wise, there’s no need really. I think the biggest thing is I’m going to have to work on some returns because… I mean, I guess it depends. I don’t know who I play yet.”
