Amazon just gave you seven great reasons to subscribe to Prime

If you’re not already an Amazon Prime member, then there’s arguably never been a better time to sign up for a subscription.

With the festive season in full swing, next-day delivery could prove extremely useful for any last minute gifts, while Prime Video is perfect for something to watch after your Christmas dinner.

However, what you may not realise is that Amazon Prime subscribers can also download a selection of free games for PC.

And December’s free games are among the best we’ve seen so far, featuring seven must-have titles that are available throughout the month.

It all begins with Star Wars Bounty Hunter, Tomb Raider Underworld, Overcooked 2, Call of Juarez Gunslinger and Dredge, which are available now.

Available from GOG, Star Wars Bounty Hunter is a third-person shooter where you get to play as Jango Fett.

Set before the events of Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones, your job is to capture a Dark Jedi on behalf of the Republic.

Tomb Raider Underworld features classic Tomb Raider action, only with high-definition visuals and far superior animation compared to the early PlayStation games.

Call of Juarez Gunslinger is one of the best of the bunch, featuring third-person Western-style shootouts with famous characters and a unique approach to storytelling.

Then there’s Dredge, which is a Lovecraftian fishing game with an Overwhelmingly Positive rating on Steam.

It starts out like a cozy fishing adventure, but develops into something with a surprising amount of depth when you cast your nets further afield.

The fifth and final game available right now is Overcooked 2, which is co-operative, party game perfection.

Playable solo or with three additional friends, this four-player cooking game tasks players with fulfilling food orders in increasingly bizarre kitchens against the clock.

The free games will keep on coming throughout the month, continuing with the release of Quake 2 on December 5.

This iconic shooter has been given a HD makeover, not to mention various quality of life improvements for modern gamers.

Disney Pixar WALL-E, Planet of Lana, Hero’s Hour, The Coma: Recut, Electrician Simulator, ReDrawn: The Painted Tower and Nine Witches: Family Disruption will also make their debut before Christmas.

This is followed by the seventh must-have release of December, with Predator Hunting Grounds joining on December 19.

The month ends with Aces of the Luftwaffe, Simulakros, Christmas Fables: The Magic Snowflake Collector’s Edition and The Town of Light.
