One of the biggest events in PC gaming, the Steam Winter Sale is about to return for 2024.
The Steam Winter Sale has been given a December 19 start date and a 6pm GMT UK start time. Indeed, if you are thinking of buying a full-priced Steam game, it might be worth waiting.
Unlike the recent Autumn Sale, the latest event runs for two whole weeks, meaning you can take advantage of all the Steam and Steam Deck discounts until January 2.
And thanks to a newly released trailer further down the page, we already know some of the discounts available as part of the event.
As you can see from the trailer below, the Steam Winter Sale will include discounts on relatively new releases such as Metal Slug Tactics.
That’s on top of discounts for Assassin’s Creed Mirage, CarX Street and sandbox survival game Core Keeper.
Fans can also expect discounts on blockbusters such as Helldivers 2, Final Fantasy 16 and surprise hit Manor Lords.
Colourful games like Castle Crashers and Planet Coaster 2 will receive discounts, alongside the unique TCG Card Shop Simulator.
Last year’s Game of the Year Baldur’s Gate 3 will receive a discount, which is ideal if you have it on your Wishlist.
Finally, there are discounts for the likes of The Last of Us Part 1 and recent platforming remake Sonic X Shadow Generations.
Of course, some games have already been discounted before the event has even started.
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is reduced to £52.49 for the Standard Edition, or £79.99 for the Vault Edition.
Other games currently available at a discounted price include God of War Ragnarok for £39.99. Don’t be surprised if LEGO Horizon Adventures also receives a price cut.
Containing one of the best games ever made, fans can purchase the Mass Effect Legendary Edition for just £3.99. That’s an absolute steal.
Lots of Resident Evil games have already been discounted, alongside Star Wars Jedi Survivor for £14.99 and Hades for £8.39.
