Nintendo Switch 2 price – You better start saving for new Nintendo console

Nintendo unveiled the Switch 2 with a short hardware trailer earlier this week.

While it was great to finally get a look at the new console, Nintendo left out lots of important information about the Switch 2.

We don’t know the exact release date, what new games will be available at launch, or how much it will cost.

However, one analyst may have shed some light on the Nintendo Switch 2 price tag, which is expected to cost a lot more than the current model.

Speaking to IGN, multiple analysts believe the Nintendo Switch 2 will cost at least $400.

That’s an increase of $100 compared to the price of the original Switch at launch.

Other predictions put the price at around $450, while some believe it could go as high as $500.

If the $400 price tag is accurate, then don’t be surprised if it retails for around £350 in the UK.

Fans should find out the exact price and release date when Nintendo holds a Direct conference on April 2.

In the meantime, we know that the Nintendo Switch 2 is larger than the current model, featuring a bigger screen and JoyCons.

The JoyCons will reportedly utilise technology to eliminate stick drift, as well as magnets for connecting to the display.

Judging by the trailer above, the JoyCons can also be used like a mouse, meaning PC-style games should work better on the Switch 2.

The kickstand is also more flexible, giving users more viewing angles when playing in handheld mode.

It looks like Mario Kart 9 is also in development, and based on the trailer, should support 24-person races in single and multiplayer.
