The First Descendant has been given another new hotfix update, just days after the last one. First Descendant hotfix update 1.0.4 is out now on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The new update makes a few improvements to the game, including increasing module storage from 1000 to 1500, reducing the cooldown for “Vulgus Strategic Outpost” from 5 minutes to 1 minute, and increasing the spawning time between monster spawns. As you can see from the patch notes further down the page, hotfix 1.0.4 also makes Void Fragments drop when defeating monsters in Special Operation, particularly the “Neutralize Void Experiment” mission. Fans will also be pleased to hear that using the “Mark for Arrest” item will grant ten times the usual amount of gold. You can also use it from the consumable tab, where it will reward players with a whopping 100,000 gold, or 1,000,000 gold when using the “High-Value Mark for Arrest”.
According to developer Nexon, the new patch aims to ensure that “Valby run” remains a popular hunting ground like Ambush Point and Refined Run.
“We hope to provide numerous farming spots in The First Descendant, each with unique characteristics and usefulness to different Descendants,” the director explains.
“Instead of reverting Valby run to its original design intent, we have adjusted it to offer similar efficiency to other high-reward hunting grounds.”
However, while new updates are always welcome, especially when a game is as new as The First Descendant, it’s next week’s patch that will really excite fans.
The Week 5 update will introduce a new character named Luna to the game. The “mad artist” Luna has a synthesiser gun that becomes more powerful when fired in rhythm.
Luna can also increase the power of her allies by dancing to different styles of music, depending what stat you want to increase.
