First essential Nintendo Switch 2 accessories are here

If you owned the original Nintendo Switch, then you know that purchasing the console is just the half of it.

Indeed, if you’re planning to pick up a Nintendo Switch 2, then you should check out Nacon’s new range of Nintendo accessories.

The video game company has unveiled a wide range of peripherals for the console, including protectors, cases and wheels.

Available when the console launches later this year, the range includes essentials like a screen protector starter kit, plus a carry case for ultimate portability.

Available in multiple colours, the case keeps your Switch 2 secure in transit, and even features space for multiple cartridges.

That’s on top of a hardened protective shell, as well as cleaning accessories to keep the display and hardware free of prints.

If Mario Kart 9 is launching with the console as rumoured, then Nacon also has you covered.

The peripheral manufacturer has created a couple of Joy-Con steering wheels available in two colours. Simply remove the Joy-Cons and enter them into the wheels for a more authentic racing experience.

“Older players will appreciate the folding steering wheel, which uses both Joy-Cons simultaneously for maximum comfort,” Nacon continues.

“The compatible Joy-Con grip also optimises joystick ergonomics by enlarging the joystick to the optimum size, grip, comfort, and precision.”

You can purchase the items (below) from the Nacon website when the console launches later this year.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is larger than the current model, featuring a bigger screen and JoyCons.

The JoyCons will reportedly utilise technology to eliminate stick drift, as well as magnets for connecting to the display.

Judging by the announcement trailer, the JoyCons can also be used like a mouse, meaning PC-style games should work better on the Switch 2.

The kickstand is also more flexible, giving users more viewing angles when playing in handheld mode.

We’ll find out more when Nintendo holds a Switch 2 Direct on April 2.
