Fortnite update 32.10 patch notes, downtime, Ice Spice, Marvel Rivals and Kicks

Fortnite fans are counting down to the release of update 32.10 on PS5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, Android and Nintendo Switch.

The first and only major Fortnite Remix update of the season has a November 13 release date. According to Epic Games, the update itself will be available to download and install at around 9am GMT UK time, although fans won’t be able to enjoy the new content until after server downtime comes to an end.

Fortnite matchmaking will be disabled at around 8.30am GMT, while the game will be taken offline for update 32.10 maintenance at 9am GMT.

There’s no official end time for the server maintenance, but downtime tends to last for 2-3 hours. This means Fortnite should be back online by midday at the latest.

The news was announced by Epic Games on X: “Downtime for v32.10 begins at 4 AM ET with matchmaking ending shortly beforehand.”

The new update will introduce Ice Spice to Fortnite Remix. As a reminder, Ice Spice performed as part of the recent end of season event.

As part of Ice Spice’s appearance, Shark Island will be transformed into Ice Isle. The POI is described as a “neon-lit, Y2K-dripped abandoned shopping mall with an ominous aura”.

Players will also be able to defeat Ice Spice and pick up her Grappler item and Mythic Rifle. The Ice Spice outfit will also be available in the Item Shop from November 14, which is when the Ice Spice changes should come into play.

Sadly, however, it’s not all good news, because the new Kicks cosmetic item has been delayed by Epic Games.

Kicks are shoes that can be equipped by players. Users will still be able to unlock the AJ1 Black Toe Reimagined in the Remix Pass, but they won’t be available to equip until a later date.

“We are delaying the release of Kicks in the 32.10 release while we work on a visual issue,” Epic explains. “Players will still unlock the AJ1 Black Toe Reimagined in the Remix Pass, but will be unable to equip them.

“We’re working on a fix now and will let you know when Kicks will be enabled and will release in the Shop. We’ll provide more updates on this as we have new info.”

Elsewhere, there’s a chance we could get a look at the upcoming Marvel Rivals skins, which have been confirmed for Fortnite. However, with hero shooter Marvel Rivals not launching until December 6, it’s more likely the skins will join the game in the next season.

Likewise, fans are expecting the new update to add files for the upcoming end of season event, which will feature Juice WRLD.

Needless to say, update 32.10 will also make a variety of gameplay tweaks and bug fixes, which you can see in the patch notes below.

Fortnite update 32.10 patch notes (all issues in development and not confirmed)…

GENERAL

• Low-resolution textures on Nintendo Switch

– We’re looking into a fix for low-resolution textures on Nintendo Switch. We’ll provide an update to this thread when we’ve resolved this issue.

• Nintendo Switch players encountering storage space issues

– Nintendo Switch players without SD cards may see an error about running out of space during patching or when launching the game.

 – We recommend using an SD card to expand your storage, but if you don’t have one, you can free up space if needed in the System Settings -> Data Management menu of your Switch.

• Built-In Emotes may not appear in the “My Locker Loadout” tab.

– While the expected result for the built-in Emotes is to always be present in the “My Locker Loadout” tab where available, some players may notice that their built-in Emotes do not show up. This is under investigation.

• Players cannot close the emote wheel without selecting an emote

 – Players will find that after opening the Emote wheel they will have to perform an emote in order for the wheel to close.

• Incorrect Emote order in the Emote Wheel.

 – Emotes assigned to the Emote Wheel may appear in the wrong order, i.e. the Wheel appears to be incorrectly rotated.

• Unable to change the style of Outfits with customisable elements.

 – Some Outfits (e.g. Soccer/NBA/NFL Outfits, Corrupted Legends or LeBron James) are missing the “Edit Number”, “Edit Country” or slider components in the “Edit Style” Locker menu.

• Built-In Emotes do not play in Creative / UEFN Experiences.

 – We’re investigating an issue where built-in emotes, emotes attached to certain Outfits only, do not play when in a Creative or UEFN experience.

• Splitscreen Issue when player 2 logs out.

 – We are aware of an issue where Player 1 loses controller functionality if Player 2 logs out while in split-screen mode. We are working on a fix and will provide an update when this has been resolved.

• Videos in the Lobby playing with every launch on Amazon Luna.

 – We’re investigating an issue where on every start-up the intro Lobby videos will play for Amazon Luna players. We’re working to resolve this in a future update.

BATTLE ROYALE

• Players may get stuck in “Toggle Walk” mode at times.

 – Sometimes, players may see their character stuck in the “Toggle Walk” mode while trying to run or swim at an intended pace. Sprinting is not affected.

• Can’t edit structures while a DBNO (knocked) player is nearby.

 – We’re aware that players may be unable to edit structures while a DBNO or “knocked” player is nearby and are investigating.
