PS Plus June 2024 PS4 and PS5 games – Here’s when Sony will announce line-up

PlayStation Plus subscribers are counting down to the reveal of the free PS4 and PS5 games for June 2024. Unfortunately, however, PS Plus Essentials subscribers will have to wait a little longer for the official announcement, which will take place at 4.30pm BST UK time on the afternoon of May 29. Even worse, the next batch of games won’t actually be available to download and play until the morning of June 4. While this is a long time to wait for the release of the new games, it does mean that subscribers have more time to pick up the excellent line-up of Essentials for May 2024. The current line-up is headlined by high-profile football game EA Sports FC 24.

It’s the fourth year in a row that an Electronic Arts game has headlined the May line-up of PS Plus games. Previous EA releases include GRID Legends, FIFA 22, and Battlefield 5.

EA Sports FC 24 is the first annual Electronic Arts football game not to feature the FIFA branding.

Despite the falling out with FIFA, EA Sports FC 24 is essentially a FIFA game, featuring the same bells and whistles as its predecessors.

This includes a ton of licensed players and teams, male and female leagues, Ultimate Team, official stadiums and lots more.

It also contains new technological upgrades, including HyperMotionV, PlayStyles optimised by Opta, and an enhanced version of the Frostbite Engine.

EA Sports FC 24 will be joined by two additional games, including the action-packed Ghostrunner 2 and Zelda-style adventure game Tunic.

Tunic is a personal favourite, featuring a unique hint and puzzle system based on finding pages of a manual within the game world.

“Explore a hostile and intricately-connected world of shady forests, sprawling ruins, and labyrinthine catacombs in this stylish isometric adventure,” reads the official description.

“Discover hidden treasures and secret techniques to help you on your way. Clash with colossal beasts and smaller enemies deep beneath the earth, high above the clouds and in places stranger still.

“All will test your knowledge of technical combat as you courageously dodge, block, parry and strike to conquer them. Collect the missing manual pages, bursting with hints and original full-colour illustrations.”

Ghostrunner 2, meanwhile, is a fast-paced action game with a futuristic setting. With one-hit kill deaths and expansive platforming sections, it’s a challenging game that will test your skills.

Finally, as an added bonus, Destiny 2 expansion Lightfall is also available until early June. The add-on takes players to Neptune, where Guardians will face off against a shadowy threat.

Daily Express will be back this weekend with predictions for the next batch of PS Plus games coming in June.
