Scoring highly on Rotten Tomatoes and raking in heaps of positive reviews on Letterboxd, these films can’t be missed. On a list by Forbes, they made the cut for some of the best gangster films ever created. 

Whether this genre is one of your favourites or not, you’ll be hooked from start to finish with these classics. Taking top spot, it’s not The Godfather, but number one has been called a “masterpiece” by CBR.

7. Internal Affairs (2002)

Internal Affairs follows Chen Wing Yan, a policeman, who successfully infiltrates a gang.

Meanwhile Lau Kin Ming, a tried member, becomes a mole in the police force.

However, things change when both of them must seek each other out.

The film stars Andy LauTony, Leung Chiu-wai and Anthony Chau-Sang Wong.

During these times, Furious tries to raise his son Tre to get away from this lifestyle.

Tre’s friends, on the other hand, have little regard for the law and drag the entire neighborhood into a street war.
