It’s been 16 years since Hollywood megastars George Clooney and Brad Pitt last shared the screen in 2008 Coen Brothers movie Burn After Reading.
The A-list duo, who also shot the Ocean’s Eleven trilogy together from 2001-2007, are now finally back for a new action comedy.
Written and directed by Tom Holland Spider-Man trilogy’s Jon Watts, Wolfs follows two fixers hired for the same job.
The official synopsis reads: “Global superstars George Clooney and Brad Pitt team up for the action comedy Wolfs. Clooney plays a professional fixer hired to cover up a high-profile crime.
“But when a second fixer (Pitt) shows up and the two “lone wolves” are forced to work together, they find their night spiraling out of control in ways that neither one of them expected.”
Initially announced back in September 2021, with both Clooney and Pitt starring and producing, a bidding war resulted in Apple TV+ acquiring the rights. Meanwhile, Sony Pictures holds the theatrical distribution rights for cinema release ahead of streaming.
Wolfs hits UK cinemas on September 20, 2024.
