A woman recorded a “cool” car driving past her in London then “forgot about it”, only to realise it was actually a film action sequence when watching the finished result a year later. Many big budget productions are made in the capital city, with its historic and iconic skyline often showcased on the silver screen.
It’s not uncommon for locals and tourists alike to see snippets of future television and film scenes being acted out on the streets of London. One woman, named Cate, spotted a car stunt unfolding and decided to capture the moment on her phone.
A year later, she sat down to watch the Amazon Prime film My Fault: London and felt she “recognised” the blue and orange Nissan Silvia car racing through the streets and remembered she’d been witness to the creation of one of the action scenes.
The film, a romantic drama, tells the tale of an American teenage girl named Noah who moves to London when her mother remarries. She meets her stepbrother, Nick, and the two quickly fall for each other despite their best efforts.
Nick’s car is involved in multiple scenes, including a tense car-chase involving Noah and her biological father, who tracks her down after being released from prison and takes off with her.
TikTok user Cate saw parts of this final showdown being filmed in Wembley, London and recorded the action on her phone.
In the footage, which has so far amassed more than five million views on the hit social media platform, Nick’s orange and blue car can be seen whizzing down a road as a white van pulls out.
The car swerves, avoiding a collision with the van, and continues driving, narrowly missing a crash with another car.
Over the top of the footage, Cate added the text: “Seeing a cool car scene being filmed randomly in 2024”.
She then cut to filming her television, where the exact scene can be unfolding in the film. Over this part of the clip, Cate added: “Unintentionally watching the movie in 2025”.
In the caption accompanying her video, Cate simply penned: “I knew I recognised that car”.
In the comments section, people were keen to share their thoughts.
One person said: “This is soo cool”.
Cate replied: “I had completely forgotten about it as well”.
A third said: “No way” while a fourth commented: “This would make me so happy”.
One person said: “OH WOW” and another quipped: “fine I’ll watch this movie AGAIN”.
Someone else said: “Literally such a good movie and that’s actually so cool!!!”
Another confessed: “I’ve watched it like six times in the past like two months”.
And another shared: “For a second, I thought this was just a typical van driver move and the Silvia makes a sick recovery. Now after a little research + this video, I see it’s a film and has cool cars and now I pretty much HAVE to watch it.”
