The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited applications for the post of ‘spin bowling coach’ at its Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru. The post has been lying vacant since Sairaj Bahutule served out his contract last year.

Besides monitoring the top spinners who will keep visiting the CoE, the coach will be expected to design spin bowling programmes for men and women across age-groups in consultation with CoE chief V.V.S. Laxman. The deadline for submitting applications via the BCCI website is April 10.

Bahutule served as the spin bowling coach for three years, during which he was associated with the national women’s team, under-19 men’s World Cup team and a short stint with the senior men’s side as well. The former India leggie has recently joined IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals — where he was appointed before taking over the responsibility at the CoE (then National Cricket Academy).
