A former Indian player has turned on his own nation as the fallout to the Boxing Day Test takes another twist.
The controversial wicket of Yashasvi Jaiswal during the final session of the MCG epic continues to make headlines around the world.

Jaiswal was given out caught behind after a review despite Snicko showing no obvious spike.
Replays showed a clear deviation, which was enough for the third umpire to overturn the original decision of not out.
Jaiswal exchanged words with the umpires on the field before begrudgingly walking off.
The decision sparked immediate debate with chants of “cheaters” heard around the packed MCG and on social media.
From Australia’s point of view there was no controversy as they believed there was clear contact, however India have struggled to accept the decision.
Vice-president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Rajeev Shukla added fuel to the flame with his take on the incident.
“Yashasvi Jaiswal was clearly not out. Third umpire should have taken note of what technology was suggesting. While over ruling field umpire third umpire should have solid reasons,” he tweeted.
Captain Rohit Sharma conceded his teammate had made contact with the ball but questioned the technology.
“Really, I don’t know what to make of that, because the technology didn’t show anything. With the naked eye, it seemed that he did touch something,” Sharma said.
“I don’t know how the umpires want to use the technology, but in all fairness I think he did touch the ball.
“It’s about the technology, which we all know is not 100 per cent. It’s just that … more often than not, we are the ones falling on the wrong side of it. I feel we were a little unfortunate.”
Akash Deep was involved in another incident later on when he was given not out, only for it to be overturned after Snicko showed a spike.
Like Jaiswal, Deep also complained before leaving the field.
Former wicketkeeper-batter Surinder Khanna, who played 10 ODIs for India in the early 1980s, labelled the current players “liars” and encouraged them to play fair in the next Test, which begins in Sydney on Friday.
“There is no point in making controversy, they’ve shown it from four angles that the ball hit the gloves and its pace also decreased before Alex Carey caught it behind the stumps. Akash Deep also complained of a similar thing when he was caught out. ‘Juthe log hai yeh’ (These people are liars), you have to play fair first then only you’ll start winning,” Khanna told IANS.
“When the bat is in your hand, how can you not know about edging the ball? We have played bad and we have lost. What kind of batting they’re doing? Come the IPL, these players will hit runs. Don’t play over-aggressive T20 cricket and play positively. Let’s hope that the luck changes in the New Year (for the Indian team).”
Indian great Sunil Gavaskar was another to question the technology and even raised the possibility of an optical illusion in Jaiswal’s wicket.
“If the evidence of the technology is not to be taken, why have it at all? That is something that would definitely be the query as far as the Indians are concerned,” he said on Channel 7.
“Yes it looked as if it might have gone off the glove, but then there can be an optical illusion.
“Often we see when the ball is brand new that the ball goes near the bats edge and then moves away and that is because the optical illusion from those watching here is that it has taken a nick.”
Aussie skipper Pat Cummins, who bowled the delivery, had no doubts.
“It was clear that he hit it — heard a noise, saw deviation. I was absolutely certain,” he said.
“As soon as we referred it, you could see him drop his head and basically acknowledge he hit it.
“(Snicko), I don’t think anyone has complete confidence in. Fortunately there was enough other evidence to show it was clearly out.”
