Handscomb century boosts super county season start

Peter Handscomb’s has continued a superb run of form in English country cricket with his second century of the season.

The Australian was unbeaten 102 as he helped Leicestershire reach 5-280 for five in reply to Glamorgan’s 387 on day two of a home County Championship match.

Handscomb, who signed a two-year contract last year after a successful first season with Leicestershire, already has 547 runs to his name this season after scoring 51 or higher in six of his eight innings so far in the first half of the Division Two program.

He reached Saturday’s hundred from 160 balls with 12 fours.
