In a significant development for Indian football, representatives from the All India Football Federation (AIFF) and Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL) met on Monday to discuss the future of the 2025-26 football season.
The meeting was held in accordance with a directive from the Hon’ble Supreme Court. Both parties described the discussions as constructive and positive, expressing optimism that they will reach a mutually agreed-upon proposal.
AIFF released a statement on social media to clarify the new development.
This joint plan, aimed at ensuring the continued development and progress of the sport in India, will be submitted to the Supreme Court on August 28.
The AIFF and FSDL have stated that they will not provide any further comments while the matter is sub-judice.
