Armando Sadiku will be available for FC Goa’s match against Chennaiyin FC after the AIFF Disciplinary Committee overturned the red card he received against East Bengal in the ISL 2024-25 season.
Sadiku was shown a direct red card by referee Crystal John in the third minute of second-half stoppage time for a foul on Jordan international Hijazi Maher. FC Goa went on to win the match 1-0.
The club successfully appealed the decision, and Sadiku’s red card was downgraded to a yellow.
“Following a detailed review of the video evidence submitted by the club, the committee determined that Armando’s actions did not amount to intentional serious foul play or violent conduct. As a result, the red card has been overturned and replaced with a yellow card,” FC Goa stated in an official release.
The Albanian forward has been in excellent form this season, scoring nine goals and providing two assists in 15 appearances for the Gaurs.
