Newcastle are reportedly close to sealing a deal for Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, a long-term Magpies target.
The Telegraph claim that there is confidence on St James’ Park that a fee can be agreed with Everton, with the 27-year-old also keen on a move to the north-east.
With just a year left on his contract at Goodison Park, Everton have been forced to consider selling Calvert-Lewin, which also appeases the Premier League‘s profit and sustainability rules.
The move could pave the way for Callum Wilson to depart Newcastle, however, with Alexander Isak also attracting interest from Champions League clubs.
Eddie Howe has, however, publicly stated his desire to keep both Isak and Wilson this summer.
