Bayern Munich records biggest win in Club World Cup history against Auckland City FC

Bayern Munich broke the record for the biggest win in FIFA Club World Cup history as it beat Auckland City FC 10-0 in their Group C match at the TQL Stadium in Cincinnati on Sunday.

Kingsley Coman and Michael Olise scored a brace each while Thomas Muller and Sacha Boey also netted as Bayern took a 6-0 lead at halftime. The second half saw Jamal Musiala come off the bench and score a hat-trick before Muller scored late to take th etally into double figures.

With the result, the Bavarians broke the record held by Saudi club Al Hilal, which beat UAE club Al Jazira 6-1 in 2021.

Both Bayern and Auckland secured their participation at the tournament via the ranking pathway following consistently impressive showings over the four-year cycle from 2021 to 2024.
