Brazil qualifies for FIFA World Cup 2026

Brazil beat Paraguay 1-0 on Tuesday at the Corinthians Arena in Sao Paulo to qualify for next year’s FIFA World Cup 2026.

Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior tapped home from close range a Matheus Cunha pass in the 44th minute to score the only goal in the match which was enough to give Carlo Ancelotti his first win as Brazil head coach, that too on his home debut.

The Selecao now sit third in CONMEBOL qualifying with 25 points from 16 matches and have confirmed a spot in the top six which are the automatic qualification places for the World Cup.

With this qualification, Brazil continues to remain the only team to qualify for every edition of the FIFA World Cup.
