Bruno Fernandes twist
United captain Fernandes was said to be seriously considering a big-money move to Saudi Arabian giants Al-Hilal.
However, one stumbling block has emerged as his family still need some convincing to uproot their lives and head to the Middle East, according to talkSPORT.
Al-Hilal want a response this week after offering the United skipper a contract worth £65m-a-year, in order to register him for the Club World Cup.
United are publicly insisting that they do not want to lose their talisman and have not received any formal contact or offer from Al-Hilal, but a bid upwards of £80m would go some way to funding a rebuild.
Marcus Rashford decision made
United have reportedly decided against letting Marcus Rashford leave on another loan, with Barcelona still trying to land the outcast on a temporary basis.
Rashford enjoyed a successful few months away at Aston Villa before his spell was curtailed by injury.
Spanish outlet Sport claim that Barcelona want to sign Rashford on loan and are not willing to pay the £40m asking price.
However, United are refusing to negotiate other than a permanent transfer. Rashford is ready to join Barcelona but convincing the Red Devils on anything other than their £40m price tag being paid is proving very difficult.
The report states that United could only accept a loan in the last few days of the transfer window, with one option remaining of a paid loan with an option to buy, which would see United receive a payment of £8m and Rashford’s entire wages covered.
Agreement reached
United announced that they have reached an agreement to sign Cunha from Wolves, paying the £62.5m release clause.
However, the deal is not completed just yet as various hurdles need to be overcome before he is pictured in a red kit.
A club statement explained: “The Brazilian forward’s signing is subject to visa and registration.”
The final details are expected to be a formality, however, with Cunha set to take over Rashford’s number 10 jersey next season.
