Chelsea £68m raid, Van Dijk to Saudi, Tottenham braced for Real Madrid bid

The Premier League’s summer transfer window has officially opened today (Friday) and clubs in England’s top flight are already moving to improve their squads. One eye will be on Euro 2024, which kickstarts tonight with Germany vs Scotland, and an array of talent hoping to put themselves in the shop window.

Manchester United, having committed to Erik ten Hag, have reportedly agreed terms with Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite over a big-money signing. However, they still need to reach an agreement with the Toffees, who are holding out for a fee in the region of £70million for their star man.

Arsenal are putting the finishing touches on the permanent signing of goalkeeper David Raya, who spent the season on loan at the Emirates, while Mikel Arteta and sporting director Edu also attempt to bring in another striker to compete with Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus.

Chelsea are looking to steal a march on United for Crystal Palace’s in-demand winger Michael Olise. They are now in direct conversation over the Frenchman, in what could be another big summer for the Blues.
