Chelsea’s dream attack with Garnacho transfer agreed and Rogers bid

Chelsea have already brought in the likes of Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens and Jorrell Hato as they continue to try and corner the youth market. But the Blues’ business is not finished there and they will attempt to refine their attack in front of Cole Palmer.

Todd Boehly and co are not afraid to strike if they sense a market opportunity. They have plenty of irons in the fire as they continue to pursue several stars from their Premier League rivals, and Express Sport has taken a look at how Chelsea’s dream attack could be created this month…

Alejandro Garnacho transfer agreed

Chelsea and Manchester United are in informal negotiations over the potential transfer of Alejandro Garnacho, according to The Athletic. Their interest in the Argentine goes back several windows and they made an attempt to sign him in January, which was unsuccessful.

United are now demanding a lower fee, thought to be in the region of £45million, but Chelsea do still have to be mindful of profit and sustainability (PSR) rules.

They do, however, have Nicolas Jackson on the market and he is looking increasingly more likely to leave.

Chelsea value Jackson at £80m, with United, Newcastle and Aston Villa all interested. He could pave the way for Garnacho’s arrival, with Pedro and Delap ready to fill the striker’s role in the squad.

Morgan Rogers bid launched

Chelsea are keen admirers of Villa star Morgan Rogers and will be in the running if the new England international is made available. Unai Emery’s side have to be cautious of PSR themselves and have struggled to recruit so far this summer as a result, with United poking around for Ollie Watkins and Emiliano Martinez to try and take advantage.

But especially if Chelsea agree to a discount and send Jackson to Villa Park, potentially giving Villa a Watkins replacement five years his junior, they may be open to selling Rogers in return.

His versatility would be of immense value to Chelsea and the former Middlesbrough star could form a deadly trident alongside Palmer and Garnacho.
