Cristiano Ronaldo ‘gets Premier League offer’ as FIFA step in with transfer plan

Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly has an offer on the table from Crystal Palace owner John Textor with his future still up in the air. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner is coming to the end of his contract at Al-Nassr and has been linked with a move elsewhere. A number of teams are said to be keen on signing Ronaldo ahead of the upcoming Club World Cup.

It was reported last week that Moroccan club Wydad were exploring an ambitious move for the 40-year-old. He has also been tentatively linked with a return to Europe after hinting at leaving Saudi Arabia in a cryptic Instagram caption. Now, it has been claimed that Textor could bring Ronaldo to one of the clubs he owns in Brazil.

He has offered the forward a significant percentage of shares in his Eagle Football Holdings company, according to Jorge Nicola. Textor owns several clubs through the business and is reportedly looking to persuade Ronaldo to join Botafogo.
