Namdhari FC continued its winning run in the 2025 Durand Cup with a commanding 4-2 win over the Indian Air Force football team in their Group A encounter at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata.
Samuel K opened the scoring for the Airmen in the 7th minute, but the I-League side responded with goals from Cledson Dasilva, Amandeep Singh, and second-half strikes from Dharmpreet Singh and substitute Seilenthang Lotjem to secure all three points.

Namdhari got into trouble when Manbir Singh was sent off in the 73rd minute for a reckless challenge, reducing it to 10 men. Sankit pounced on a loose ball to pull one back for the Air Force in the 78th minute, and despite further pressure from the Airmen in the closing stages, the I-League side held on.
With the win, Namdhari sits comfortably at the top of Group A with six points from two matches, in a strong position for a spot in the quarterfinal ahead of the crucial clash against East Bengal on Wednesday (August 6).
