FIFA has revealed the prize money for the 2025 Club World Cup, making it the most lucrative club tournament ever.
- The winner can earn up to 125 million USD.
- A total of 1 billion USD will be shared among the 32 participating clubs.
- An additional 250 million USD is set aside to support club football worldwide.
- The participation prize pool is set at $525m.
- UEFA participants are set to receive the most prize money ranging from $12.81m to $38.19m, based on ranking and revenue generated. Clubs like Chelsea, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich likely to get top money.
- CONMEBOL clubs will receive close to $15.21m for participation.
- CONCACAF, CAF and AFC clubs to receieve $9.55m, while OFC teams will take home $3.58m.
This tournament will feature a cumilative seven-match group stage and playoff format, with all revenue going directly to club football. The revamped Fifa Club World Cup, which has been expanded to 32 teams, will take place in the United States between June 14 and July 13.
FIFA has also introduced a major solidarity investment programme to further the sport’s global growth. The organisation will not retain any revenue from the event, and its reserves will remain untouched, ensuring long-term investment in football across its 211 Member Associations.
