The Durand Cup 2025 winner will walk away with a record Rs. 1.21 crore, the highest champion’s purse in the 137-year history of Asia’s oldest football tournament.
Defending champion NorthEast United will take on debutant Diamond Harbour in the summit clash at Kolkata’sVivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (VYBK) on Saturday.
Earlier this year, the Durand Cup Organising Committee (DCOC) had announced a 250 per cent increase in prize money – raising the pool from Rs. 1.2 crore in the previous edition to a tournament-record Rs. 3 crore this season.
Durand Cup 2025 Prize Distribution breakdown:
Champion: Rs. 1.21 crore (40 per cent of pool)
Runner-up: Rs. 60 lakh (20 per cent)
Losing semifinalist: Rs. 25 lakh each (8.3 per cent)
Losing quarterfinalist: Rs. 15 lakh each (5 per cent)
Individual Awards
Golden Ball (Best player of the tournament), Golden Boot (Highest goal scorer), and Golden Gloves (Best goalkeeper) winners to receive Rs. 3 lakh each and a brand-new Mahindra XUV 3XO SUV.
