The India under-17 men’s team beat Pakistan 3-2 at the Racecourse International Stadium in Colombo on Monday (September 22, 2025) to go to the top of Group-B in the SAFF under-17 Championship 2025.
Both sides had already confirmed their places in the semifinals after winning their first two matches.
Substitute Rahan Ahmed scored the winner for India in the 73rd minute before Dallalmuon Gangte (31) and Gunleiba Wangkheirakpam (63) found the net for the Blue Colts. On the other hand, Pakistan scored via Muhammad Abdullah’s penalty in the 43rd minute and Hamza Yasir’s rebound strike in the 70th.
India will now face Bangladesh in the semifinals on Thursday (September 25).
The result: India 3 (Dallalmuon Gangte 31, Gunleiba Wangkheirakpam 63, Rahan Ahmed 73) bt Pakistan 2 (Muhammad Abdullah 43-pen, Hamza Yasir 70).
