Defending Spanish champion Barcelona will be looking to retain its La Liga crown when it begins the new season against RCD Mallorca on Saturday.

The club signed 24-year-old goalkeeper Joan Garcia from Espanyol on a six-year deal while Wojciech Szczęsny signed a two-year extension. Club captain Marc Andre Ter-Stegen is undergoing a back surgery and will likely be out for three-four months.
