The Ligue 1 match between Marseille and reigning European champion Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday evening was postponed due to a forecast of storms in southern France, regional authorities said.
“The match is postponed because there could be heavy rainfall with significant risks of runoff in urban areas” around Marseille’s 65,000-capacity Stade Velodrome, Georges-Francois Leclerc, the prefect of the Bouches-du-Rhone department, told AFP.
