Premier League champion Liverpool on Friday announced the signing of Dutch full-back Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen.
The versatile right-sided player arrives at Anfield after four-and-a-half seasons in Germany with Leverkusen, where he made 190 appearances, scored 30 goals and produced 44 assists.
Frimpong was part of the Xabi Alonso’s Leverkusen side that made history by winning the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal in 2023-24 season, with its record 51-match unbeaten run ending in the Europa League final.
The 24-year-old was named in the Bundesliga Team of the season for 2022-23 and 2023-24.
He made his international debut for Netherlands in October 2023 and has 12 caps and one goal for his country.
