Manchester City have raised eyebrows by leaving James McAtee out of their Club World Cup squad amidst growing interest from cross-city rivals Manchester United. Instead of travelling with City’s first team, McAtee has been called up to England’s provisional squad for the U21 European Championship in Slovakia.
Despite having made impressive strides, including an FA Cup hat-trick and Premier League contributions, McAtee is still very much proving himself.
