Isak has netted 62 goals in 109 matches for Newcastle and has become one of the most coveted strikers in global football since his £63m transfer from Real Sociedad in 2022.
However, United cannot meet Newcastle‘s asking price, especially having already splashed out £133.5m on Matheus Cunha from Wolves and Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford.
The same applies to Chelsea‘s Nicolas Jackson and RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sekso, whose valuation – both are priced at around £70m – has put United out of contention for them.

Marcus Rashford’s season-long loan transfer to Barcelona has created some financial leeway for United, with the Spanish club covering his full salary, a sum totalling around £12m.
Despite being bound by Profit and Sustainability Rules [PSR], which have limited their spending power, United are committed to staying within these boundaries.
Senior figures at the club haven’t dismissed the possibility of more signings before sales, but the immediate priority is to offload players to generate funds for new recruits.
The departure of Rashford to Barcelona marked the beginning of this process, with United now keen to sell Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrrell Malacia.
Chelsea maintain an interest in winger Garnacho, who is eager to make a move to Stamford Bridge, potentially paving the way for a swap deal involving Jackson.
Juventus may swoop for Sancho, while Antony could return to Real Betis – where he spent the latter half of last season on loan – and has also piqued the interest of Atletico Madrid.
