Playoffs
BFC went all guns blazing in its playoff fixture against defending champions Mumbai City FC and secured a 5-0 winto enter the final four stage.

Semifinal
BFC took a 2-0 advantagewhen it hosted FC Goa in the first leg of their semifinal tie at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium.
An own goal from Sandesh Jhingan and a tidy strike from Edgar Mendez ensured that the Blues took a healthy lead to the second leg in Goa.
However, it was not an easy ride for BFC in the second leg as Manolo Marquez’s men staged a late comeback to level the tie thanks to second half goals from Borja Herrera and Armando Sadiku.
However, Goa endured a heartbreak in the second minute of added time when BFC’s all-time top scorer Chhetri bagged the all-important goal to win the tie 3-2 on aggregate. It was the 40-year-old’s 14th goal of the season, which is the most by an Indian this season.
