Paul Mullin ‘tries to bite’ Birmingham player as Wrexham clash ends with scuffle

Paul Mullin looked as if he tried to bite the leg of Birmingham player Alex Cochrane during Wrexham’s Monday night League One clash at St. Andrew’s.

Wrexham had taken the lead in the highly-anticipated clash between the two League One heavyweights, but Birmingham’s talent prevailed in the end, with the Blues running out 3-1 winners.

It maintained Birmingham’s unbeaten start to the new campaign, as a star-studded audience, including NFL legend Tom Brady, watched on from the stands.

But the clash wasn’t without incident, as the two third-tier sides served up a feisty Monday night encounter.

Birmingham finished the night with 10 men after Polish international Krystian Bielik saw red for a second bookable offence five minutes from time.

That came after Mullin and Cochrane had been involved in an altercation of their own, with replays appearing to show the former considering a nibble on the latter’s leg.
