Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has been excluded from the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) squad for the UEFA Super Cup against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday, according to multiple reports.
The Italian shotstopper is entering the final year of his contact with the Parisian club, and has been linked to a move away from Ligue 1. PSG has also brought in French goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier from Lille during the transfer window.
PSG will face Tottenham Hotspur in the UEFA Super Cup final, having qualified for it after winning the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League title.
Donnarumma was a key contributor in PSG’s run to the Champions League title, making crucial interventions as the club won its maiden title.
He also featured in the club’s run to the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final, although it lost 3-0 to Chelsea at the last hurdle.
The Italian keeper is highly decorated, having won four Ligue 1 titles with PSG, along with a host of other domestic trophies. He also won the 2021 UEFA European Championships with Italy, where it defeated England on penalties in the final.
