Defender Alvaro Carreras has joined La Liga side Real Madrid from Benfica, the Spanish club announced on Monday.
The 22-year-old Spaniard has penned a six-year deal which will keep him with the ‘Los Blancos’ till June 30, 2031.
Carreras was a product of Real Madrid’s youth academy, where he played between 2017 and 2020 in the cadet and youth categories.

He joined Benfica from Manchester United after being named the English club’s U23 player of the 2021-22 season. With Benfica, he won the Portuguese League Cup this year.
Real announced that his official presentation would take place on Tuesday at the club’s training complex.
