Fiji international Roy Krishna is set to leave Odisha FC, as the player penned an emotional post on X (formerly known as Twitter) on Thursday.
“Odisha, a big Thank You for your love. Special thanks to the owners, management, coaching staff, my teammates and the incredible fans who stood by us through every high and low and especially during my injury. This chapter may be closing, but the memories will stay with me always,” Krishna wrote in his tweet.
Krishna joined the Kalinga Warriors ahead of the 2023–24 season after a brief stint with Bengaluru FC. He played a major role in the club, securing a fourth-place finish in the league that season and reaching the semifinal of the playoffs.
The 2024-25 season was not a memorable one for the veteran forward, who could make just nine appearances after a ligament injury—sustained in an away fixture against Hyderabad FC in November—ruled him out for the rest of the season.

“Roy Krishna, a legend whose footsteps will forever echo through the stands of Kalinga. Your journey with us has been nothing short of inspiring. Through every goal, every battle, and every roar from the fans, you gave us moments we’ll never forget.
“Even when injuries tried to hold you back, your commitment never wavered. You showed up early, focused, and full of heart in every training session. That quiet discipline, that warrior spirit, inspired everyone around you and truly embodies what it means to be a Kalinga Warrior,” Odisha FC said in a statement.
