Sadiku and FC Goa mutually part ways ahead of Super Cup 2025

FC Goa and Albanian striker Armando Sadiku have mutually agreed to part ways ahead of the upcoming Super Cup, scheduled to begin on April 20 in Bhubaneswar, the Indian Super League (ISL) club announced on Monday.

Sadiku, who joined the Gaurs last summer, scored 10 goals and provided two assists during the season. He played a key role in helping the team finish second in the league stage and reach the semifinals of the play-offs.

He also found the net in the second leg of the semifinal against Bengaluru FC on April 6, although Goa was eliminated on aggregate.

After a blistering start to the season — scoring eight goals in his first seven matches — Sadiku struggled for form, managing just two goals in his next 17 appearances. His playing time also reduced significantly, with only six starts in his last 15 outings.

FC Goa will face I-League side Gokulam Kerala in their Round-of-16 clash on April 21.
