Tottenham Hotspur became the team with the lowest ever domestic league finish to become a European champion after it beat Manchester United 1-0 in the Europa League 2024-25 final at the Sam Mames Stadium on Thursday.
Tottenham has also sealed a spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League, offering a lifeline despite its poor league form.
It is currently 17th in the league table with 38 points from 37 games, eclipsing West Ham United’s record of 14th place when it wone the UEFA Conference League in 2023.
