The US Open 2025 mixed doubles competition is getting a revamp as tournament organisers on Tuesday revealed a preliminary entry list comprising high-wattage pairs.
Ten of the top 11 women in the WTA singles rankings and 10 of the top 11 men on the ATP tour have registered to compete in the event.

In this edition, the mixed doubles championship will span over two days of Fan Week on August 19-20, before the singles competition begins on August 24.
This way the players will have ample time before they begin their singles campaigns.
Where will the US Open 2025 Mixed Doubles Championship be played?
The US Open 2025 mixed doubles championship will be played at the Arthur Ashe and Louis Armstrong stadiums on Day 1 (August 19). The semifinal and final matches will be played under the stadium lights at Arthur Ashe on Day 2 (August 20).

What is the format for US Open 2025 Mixed Doubles Championship?
The matches will consist of best-of-three-set matches, with short sets of up to four games.
There will be no ‘advantage’ in games that reach a score of deuce (40-all), meaning that the winner of the next point wins the game. If each team claims four games in a set, then they’ll play a tiebreaker.
If the teams win a set each, a 10-point match tiebreak will be played instead of a third set. The first team to earn 10 points in the tiebreak—with an advantage of two or more points—will win the match.
What is the format for US Open 2025 Mixed Doubles Championship final?
The final will be a best-of-three-set match, with sets maxing out at six games.
There will be no ‘advantage’ scoring and will also substitute a third set for a 10-point match tiebreak if teams split sets. Additionally, if teams split games in a given set, they will play a tiebreak
