ATP Rankings: Draper replaces Djokovic at No. 5, Musetti makes Top 10 debut

Britain’s Jack Draper achieved a new career high of five while Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti made his Top 10 debut in the latest ATP Rankings released on Monday.

The 23-year-old Draper replaced 24-time Major winner Novak Djokovic at the fifth spot after his run at last week’s Madrid Open where he lost to Casper Ruud in the final. Draper had won the Indian Wells Masters in March.

Norway’s Ruud jumped eight spots to return to Top 10 courtesy his maiden Masters title in Madrid. Ruud, a three-time Grand Slam runner-up, is World No. 7 while Djokovic is ranked sixth.

Musetti, who lost to Draper in the semifinals in Madrid, gained two spots to enter Top 10. The 23-year-old Italian is ranked ninth.

Defending champion Andrey Rublev fell from ninth to 17th after losing to Kazakhstan’s Alexander Bublik in the round of 32.

Three-time Major winner Jannik Sinner continues to occupy the top spot despite being out of action since his Australian Open triumph due to a three-month doping ban which ended on Sunday.

Elsewhere in the Top 100, Argentina’s Francisco Cerundolo (18th), Czechia’s Jakub Mensik (21st) and Vit Kopriva (92nd), USA’s Brandon Nakashima (29th), Canada’s Gabriel Diallo (54th), Great Britain’s Jacob Fearnley (57th) achieved new career high rankings.
