Djokovic withdraws from Italian Open 2025

Novak Djokovic will not be taking part in the 2025 Italian Open, the ATP Masters 1000 tournament organisers said on Tuesday.

The Serbian player bowed out of the Madrid Open in the second round after a straight-sets loss to Matteo Arnaldi last week.

Djokovic has six titles at the Italian Open to his name, making him the second-most successful player at the event after Rafael Nadal who clinched the honours 12 times.

At this tournament, Djokovic won a total of 68 of the 80 matches played. Here he also celebrated his 1000th victory in 2022.

In the 2025 edition, World No. 1 Sinner will be returning to action after a three-month doping ban.
