American Emma Navarro’s returned to her career-high ranking of 8 in the latest WTA Rankings released on Monday.
Navarro clinched the second and so far, the biggest title of her career as she beat Colombian qualifier Emiliana Arango 6-0, 6-0 in the final of the Merida Open, a WTA 500 event. As a result, she moved up two spots.
Arango made a massive jump of 53 spots to make her Top 100 debut. She is World No. 80.

China’s Zheng Qinwen dropped one place to ninth while Spain’s Paula Badosa returned to the Top 10. Russian teenager Mirra Andreeva slipped two spots to 11th.

American Jessica Pegula won the WTA 250 event in Austin and continued to occupy the fourth spot. Her compatriot McCartney Kessler, who lost to her in the final, moved up eight spots to 48th.
Elsewhere in the Top 100, Japan’s Moyuka Uchijima (52nd), Dutchwoman Suzan Lamens (64th), Turkiye’s Zeynep Sonmez (77th) and Australia’s Maya Joint (85th) reached new career-high rankings.
